Affinity Networks

Being part of NTS you will have access to four employee led affinity networks that help delivery meaningful change in all areas of diversity and inclusion.

Gender Balance Network

The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) Gender Balance Network (GBN) is a cross NDA group, made from several companies containing thousands of employees, which is working to create an environment that supports and accelerate the rate of progress to achieve an improved gender balance across the NDA estate. By doing so, the GBN is working to support the NDA business in making progress towards the achievement of the Nuclear Sector Deal’s target to move the 22% female workforce in the nuclear sector to 40% by 2030, which recognises the essential role that gender diversity plays in the future success of the nuclear industry.

LGBT+ Network

This network actively encourages a culture of respect, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. Membership of the network is open to both members and allies of the LGBT+ community. As a member, you will be invited to attend various events throughout the year, with access to research publications, workshops, webinars and opportunities to build your network and friendships across the group.

Enable Network

The Enable Network has been established to collaborate across the NDA group to achieve various outcomes and benefits to employees, including: being recognised as an employer of choice that is inclusive for disabled people, to educate and raise awareness of disabilities across the group and to demonstrate that the NDA is a disability confident employer which fosters new thinking and best practice.

Race Equality Network

Membership is open to all ethnic minorities and allies working for the NDA group and who are committed to the aims of the network. This multi-cultural network helps the business understand cultural experiences and provides an open platform for employees to bring their own unique perspective to the development of the business’s working culture. Its members raise awareness and support events and help us identify and remove any barriers that might be holding back their peers from flourishing.

Our Armed Forces matter

The skills and the service mindset of our veterans and reservists lead to a thriving career at NTS which is why we are a supporter of the Career Transition Partnership who provide armed forces resettlement on behalf of the Ministry of Justice.

NTS has also achieved the Ministry of Defence (MoD) Gold Award.
