NTS’s rail division, Direct Rail Services’ (DRS) were runners-up in the sustainability and safety category at the prestigious Rail Freight Group (RFG) awards. 

The RFG Awards are the leading industry awards for the UK’s rail freight sector and are an opportunity to highlight and celebrate the amazing successes achieved every day by rail freight organisations across the country. 

The award is a testament to the dedication and hard work of everyone involved in the recent work to improve close call reporting and embed a culture of safety across the business. 

The project has been a huge success and has seen a 185% increase in the number of close calls reported compared to the previous year.
