NTS’s key role in annual conference

Julie Nerney, Interim Managing Director for Rail, was a keynote speaker at this year’s Women in Nuclear (WiN) Conference.

The conference looks to address the key question of how WiN meet their commitment of 40% women in nuclear by 2030 and increase the representation of women in the sector.

Julie was also joined at the conference by NTS’s Chair Wanda Goldwag. Wanda spoke on a panel of delegates, answering questions on why it’s so important to encourage women into the nuclear industry and promote diversity across the business.

Julie said: “It was a great 36 hours supporting Women in Nuclear UK and their Push for Change this week. A number of NTS colleagues attended the awards ceremony on Tuesday night, celebrating those nominees and winners who are working hard to make a difference across the sector.

“The following day was the annual conference where there were a range of speakers all sharing their personal insights, providing food for thought for what we can do as individuals and organisations to create an environment where we can attract, retain and develop women in nuclear.”

These events are an important part of learning and sharing ideas as NTS drive their commitment to diversity and inclusion.
