Seth Kybird

CEO

Before becoming CEO Seth was Managing Director of INS. He is a former chartered accountant and strategy consultant, who has experience of leading and developing organisations and a strong track record in tackling complex commercial challenges in the UK and internationally. 

Meb Vadiya

General Counsel and Company Secretary 

Meb has been General Counsel for NTS since December 2023, having joined the business in 2013 as a Senior Commercial Lawyer. Prior to that he spent time in the Middle East working in the energy and shipping sectors, and ran his own law firm. Meb has an in-depth knowledge of international, UK and EU nuclear law, regulations and obligations relating to nuclear transport. 

Mike Leckie

Interim Chief Finance Officer

Mike is an experienced leader and finance professional. He was previously Finance Director for Direct Rail Services, and more recently was on secondment to Nuclear Waste Services where he was responsible for leading the Finance team and transformation of the function.

Peter Buchan MBE

Managing Director, Shipping

An experienced leader and director, Pete has successfully led a number of significant, and strategically important commercial and operational projects. He has worked extensively with UK, European and Japanese customers, including spending three years in our Japan office, and is a board member of PNTL and WNTI. 

Gottfried Eymer 

Managing Director – Rail

A fully qualified lawyer, Gottfried has more than 20 years of international leadership experience in large transport, logistics and supply chain organisations including Deutsche Bahn, Rail Cargo Group and Etihad Rail.

Ben Whittard

Managing Director, Solutions

Before becoming Managing Director, Solutions at NTS, Ben was the Director for Safety, Security & Environment at International Nuclear Services. He is a former Senior Inspector of the UK’s Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR), and has experience of leading, managing and regulating highly complex nuclear programmes globally. 

Ciara Middlehurst 

Chief Operating Officer

Ciara is an experienced commercial leader with a private sector background. She began her career with BAE systems, delivering high value complex projects with domestic and international clients. She joined NTS from the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority where she was Head of Commercial Projects.  

Sam Wilkinson

Sam Wilkinson 

Communications and Stakeholder Relations Director 

Sam is a highly experienced Communications and Public Affairs expert, who led both INS and DRS communication teams prior to the creation of NTS. He previously spent ten years advising Ministers in central and regional government departments, including the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister. 

Carl Bilton 

Human Resources Director 

Carl has considerable experience of leading HR people transformation initiatives at private sector companies including Balfour Beatty and Ford Motor Company. His last role was at Sellafield Ltd where he was responsible for leading HR operational delivery and enterprise-wide change programmes before joining NTS.    

Jonathan Power-Higgins

Director of Nuclear and Assurance

Jonathan has a wealth of experience in the nuclear security
sector. He started his career in the police before working in intelligence. From a nuclear perspective he has spent time both as a nuclear regulator and in operations, as Head of Security for the Faslane Submarine base. Most recently he’s worked in the private sector for Thales UK.

Wanda Goldwag OBE

Chair

Wanda has a wealth of experience in non-executive roles, specialising in chairing complex organisations in both the public and private sectors. She is currently also Chair of the Covent Garden Market Authority, Chair of a technical body in the gas industry called the Uniform Network Code Modification Panel, and, as part of her role as NTS Chair, also Chairs the Diversity and Inclusion Council for the whole of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.

Geoff Spencer

Non-Executive Director 

Geoff is a respected leader and expert in rail. He has over 35 years’ experience in the rail freight sector and was previously Chief Executive of DB Cargo. 

John Hudson

Non-Executive Director 

John has over 20 years of Executive Management experience working on large complex programmes with a particular focus on the maritime sector. He was Managing Director of BAE Systems Maritime Group until 2019, and prior to that he spent many years in shipbuilding, becoming Engineering Director then Managing Director at the Barrow Shipyard.

Andrew Dickinson

Non-Executive Director 

Andrew has a wealth of finance and general management experience having spent 27 years with Rolls Royce, including two years as Chief Finance Officer of Rolls Royce Civil Aerospace. Since leaving Rolls Royce in 2018 he has been Board Member and Chair of Audit Committee at the Open University, Nottingham City Homes, and Nottingham College.

Juliet Long

Non-Executive Director 

Juliet is the NDA’s Chief
Strategist for Site decommissioning and Remediation, leading national strategy development for the clean-up of the UK’s civil nuclear liabilities.
She has over 25 years’ experience working across the UK nuclear industry, as an operator within both the defence and civil parts of the sector, as a regulator, within Government and also as a Trustee Director of the UK Nuclear Institute.
